Exploring what a round can be beyond tradition. This series of precision-cut circles grew out of a personal search to create a men’s ring that felt bold, refined, and distinct from the usual square step-cut stones. I worked through multiple patterns, proportions, and materials before settling on a striking cobalt blue lab spinel as the final choice. The ring itself was a collaboration with an Etsy jeweler, who crafted the setting to my specifications and sent it unset so I could place my own stone. This project represents a small, personal rebellion against traditional men’s jewelry — a chance to tell my story in shape, color, and cut.
